The Giving Cup

It has been a trying year of many trials and opportunities. Things are never the same and we can’t ever take that for granted. It’s when we do, that we end up faltering and seeing the empty cup. Our family has faced many challenges of late and recently, the sudden illness of my dear grandfather who has been the rock of the Yu clan. Sometimes seeing and hearing of his deteriorating health is more than I can bare but I see my mother consistently making her daily travels to the east end to ensure that her father is fed properly in the hospital. Today surprisingly, I find this picture in the news of her volunteering. Little did I know that this activity didn't halt to a complete stop. She is a cup full of love and giving –never taking for granted that gift with her continued service.
