I was fortunate to be brought up with my grandparents who waited on us unconditionally. They were always there when we came home and when we left. My brother and I felt secure knowing that however busy our parents were, there was always a constant sense of stability.
Looking back, I feel saddened that I couldn’t provide the same sense of comfort for them sometimes. I remember my late grandmother who had limited mobility due to early polio infection at childhood. I know that her dreams were far greater than her agility and I would often see her drift into reverie.
Her friends would visit her at times or speak on the phone with updates on church activities. It was fascinating to see someone who was mostly housebound become so engrossed with outside noise that would somehow escalate into disagreements and heartbreak lasting for many months and maybe longer. One could only wonder the intent of the messenger or friend…
It’s a new generation now and it’s 2014. When we need data - we turn to AC Nielsen, World News - it’s CNN, Korean News – Arirang Korea TV, Korean Drama – ALLTV. And when we want to get the truth, we go to the source and use our good judgement based on experience and education. We make our own decision unless we need to make a collective agreement. We’ve gathered together to present Pavilion #3. No propaganda or politics here - just pure sweat equity but fully aware that
“no good deed goes unpunished. “ This event is about music, dance, and culture. Our mission is to educate and build friendships. What are you looking for?
Envision the Future without background Noise...
We're not afraid - Just focused on the Mission
